The 47-year-old Darcey & Stacey star is infamous for her back-to-back plastic surgery procedures, which have drastically transformed her appearance over the years. The brand’s Instagram page confirmed that Darcey has been trying something called “semaglutide,” as mentioned by Monsters & Critics in a report about the TLC celebrity.
The health center, Elite Health Center NJ, tagged by Darcey in her mirror selfie showcasing her figure noted that it falls under the category of “Online Medical Weight Loss & More.” One of the posts on their page is Darcey’s selfie with several filters on her face while she holds up a box from the health center brand. The caption shows the 90 Day Fiancé celebrity claiming “they have the best products” which have the key to helping her and sister Stacey Silva “shed some extra LB’s.” One of the hashtags used by the company for their post was “#semiglutide.”
The FDA states that semaglutide is an under-the-skin injection, which is used for chronic weight management in adults with general obesity or overweight with at least one weight-related condition. These conditions could be high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol. In addition to the injection, one should also be on a reduced-calorie diet while increasing the amount of physical activity. The semaglutide seemingly used by 90 Day Fiancé‘s Darcey is also called wegovy, and it works by mimicking a hormone that targets areas of the brain that regulate appetite and food intake.
Darcey reposting this information to her Instagram Stories does suggest she is undergoing treatment for her weight loss, even though no more information about her journey is available. Darcey hasn’t spoken about how many pounds she has dropped. Fans also think the 90 Day Fiancé star is doing false advertisement as she’s gotten surgery to lose weight and is supposedly trying to trick her fans for money.
