Zero Egg served plant-based eggs to New York City Mayor Eric Adams along with 1,600 guests last week at a Dominican Heritage event. Zero Egg makes low-calorie and high-protein alternatives to conventional eggs. Their product is non-GMO, cholesterol-free, gluten-free, and preservative-free.

Last week, the company had the opportunity to sponsor a Dominican Heritage event hosted by Gracie Mansion, the residence of NYC Mayor Eric Adams. The event had 1,600 guests and was the largest heritage event this year.

The event was completely vegan, and animal product free featured a full menu of dishes made with Zero Egg. Vegconomist reported that the vegan event featured veganized versions of traditional Dominican cuisine featuring tostones, maduros, gazpacho, and revuelto de hueve con yucca frita. Adams is the first mayor in NYC history to host an entirely plant-based event at the Gracie Mansion.
“I’m super impressed with Zero Egg,” said Joseph Simon, Chef at Gracie Mansion. “It acts like a regular egg. It tastes like a regular egg. I’m not the biggest fan of plant-based stuff, but this stuff impresses me. Zero Egg is awesome.”
More than 300 million egg-laying hens are living on farms across the U.S. These poor animals will suffer greatly during their short lives before being sent to slaughter. Chickens are highly intelligent, sentient beings, and keeping them in these conditions is extremely cruel.
